Why Naruto should and is going to end with Naruto's death.

Stories that end with the hero dieing aren't very popular, they lose a lot of fans when that happens.

He better pass out/die like Goku did (and yes, I know GT is non-cannon but they made Goku's death look great/an ending worth it watching).

But Goku never died in GT... In fact, the last episode portrayed him as a young man when Pan herself was nearing the end of her life span.

He left with Shenron, he didn't die.

Well, do you consider Light in Death Note to be the hero, or the villain? (Anti-hero?). Anyway, he died at the end of Death Note. L, who was really popular as well, also died halfway through.

Yep, but his death didn't ruin the series. Or, at least, it didn't for me.

Personally, though, I would have much rather had a conclusion with L and Light rather than Near, Mello and Light. L had something about him that Near and Mello didn't...

But if I remember correctly, isn't the reason that Naruto wanted to become Hokage was so the whole village would respect him? Well, I think the whole village certainly respects him now, so technically speaking, he wouldn't need to become Hokage because of this and he will certainly be remembered after his death. Wouldn't you think?

That would be sad. Not a big fan of Naruto but if he dies, it will truly make me sad. Someone as positive and emotional as this fellow should not meet his demise without fighting hard.

I guess there is an item about Kishi's Inspritation-bible in your argument to support your thread, chapter 646, we see obviously that kishi used the bible as a reference like eating evil-forbidden fruit, maybe this isn't so direct message for the thread, even so it is an important sign

i love the thread, i have always thought kishi involved some other religions/myths but you pointed it out quite well (what i wasnt able to put my finger on).

However, my only thing is that i do agree that naruto wont die...but that doesnt mean he doesnt die at some point. I figured they have foreshadowed sasuke and naruto's deaths for a bit but i dont personally believe if kishi killed them off somehow, they would stay killed off. i think someone (maybe tsunade) would pull a chiyo and save them (hopefully not sakura)

however if they did die, it would be sacrificing themselves for the sake of the world and i think sakura would be there with them. i would agree that team 7 would die together in that case.
