What's with everyone's obsession with the Rikudo Sage being an Uzumaki?

But I still wonder how Nagato managed to have such a good control over the Rinnegan... maybe the Uzumaki Clan really came from the sage, but through natural means and not with the Creation jutsu.

Whatever, the Sage is not Uzumaki. If the Sage is ancestor of Uzumaki then that doesn't mean that he is Uzumaki, because if that were the case, the Sage is Uchiha too, and the Sage is Senju, and he is all clans he inherited chakra XD.

People really should give Derp some credit. He did all this research and I learned so much about the Uzumaki tribe.

It was really a 50/50 when it came to Derp Theory.. People saying he was Uzumaki and People saying he wasn't. It's not like the nay sayers had there own theories of which clan he was from. I'm actually glad that Sir Derp made his theories cause we learned just how indept Kishi went into developing the series.

I'm also glad that the Sage was not from a distinct clan that way we can possibly learn everything from him

To be quite honest, Derp simply was able to get a lot of people to jump on his bandwagon because he was introducing a very bold and organized argument that had no real chance of ever being totally diss-proven. Even now, you can't say with 100% certainty that the theory is false, but all indications point in that direction. He liked to use a lot of mythology, as Kishi obviously does, and used very flashy language and other attractive methods to make his theories even more appealing. I'm not trying to bash the guy, I'm simply trying to analyze what methods of his were most effective for attracting his very large fan base. His theory was very interesting, but in reality did not seem to line up with the way Kishi set up the So6P in the first place, let alone now.

Even if you think the Sage's sons were created and not born, you have to know that the Uchiha and Senju Clan came about from natural means. The Uzumaki are just an off-shoot of the Younger Son's bloodline.
