A Edo chakra

So Minato states that the god tree has sucked up his chakra. I thought edo's have unlimited chakra? could it be because the god tree its self uses jutsu cancel while taking your chakra, or could this be a hole? I doubt it but what you guys think?

i know right! tobirama seemed to be more concerned then minato. i mean even if you don't have chakra you can still move your body smh.

yeah apparently. being edo seems to mean nothing at this point in the battle.
