You know what i personally love about the God Tree asspull? It was just literally thrown into the manga, if the tree was juubi's final form, then sage of the sixth paths just sealed a tree's charka into himself. How is that devastating?

God tree was the juubis final form, but when kaguya ate the fruit, it got pissed off and reverted back into the juubi and started going wild, which is why hagoromo had to defeat it because of what his mother started.

what the hell, how is that the same thing? why can't the juubi be a tree is there some rule against it and actually it makes some sense in the juubi being a tree as the juubi is nature and when people took its fruit it lashed out and took the form of a monster

so the gedou mazou being made of wood, the juubi growing a huge plant out of its mouth, the bulb on its back, and obito useing a tree to create tbbs, wasnt a big enough giveaway?

The god tree is FAAAAAR from a asspull...kishi hinted at it for quite some time. Could we predict that kishi would take that route? yes and no. Kishi uses tons of mythology to inspire him for ideas to incorporate into his manga. The god tree, is among some of that mythology.

But no. The sage did not fight the god tree. He fought the juubi, (the tailed beast form) the god tree took when it went on a rampage to go get its stolen chakra back.

It makes sence, hashi wood element, comes from the tree, but what i dont understand, if the uchiha clan has sharingan.
Why is it only hashi of the senju have wood element ?
shouldnt all the senjus have wood element , like how all uchihas hav sharingan ?
