After the last chapter people have started to uphold the fact that Sasuke was not targeted by the chackra-absorbing tree because he had little reserves of it. Because this idea sounds like being taken out of a biased fan fiction, I have decided to clear out this misconception.
The tree started targeting people to absorb their chackra
Naruto also possesses the ability to absorb natural energy, but his seems to be nowhere near Jugo’s level. Naruto had to train in order to be able to absorb the energy slowly

Sasuke has Jugo’s ability since the encounter with Killer B, so he had plenty of time to absorb a lot of natural energy since then. If Naruto was able to absorb enough energy for Sage Mode in some seconds, in the weeks that passed since Sasuke had the ability, he became like an ocean consisting of natural energy. The tree needed time to absorb Naruto’s natural energy, which was like a bottle of it, while Sasuke’s being like an ocean. The tree stands no chance to accomplish such a task.
