The link you shared said nothing about the two of them being the first to create clans, and it also never said that the Sage of the Six Paths didn't have a clan himself. It only said that their descendants were called the Senju and Uchiha, so it also doesn't say how the last names of those clans came to be. Also, his name wasn't Rikudo Sennin, that's just the romaji of the characters which roughly translates to "Sage of the Six Paths".
