It's kinda funny how God Tree followed Naruto, Minato and Tobirama for their's chakra... but he didn't follow Sasuke and Jugo. Who were also standing their (the only thing they do lately, 'just standing') God Tree even showed more interest in fodders. It's kinda funny now that I think about it.

On serious note, maybe the fact that Juugo is from a nature energy absorb clan and
Sasuke has Juugo's flesh + Sharingan has something to do with it. Although Edo Madara was attacked by the roots too right?
and even Hashirama with sage mode, so I dunno. It is difficult. Maybe the Juugo flesh and chakra part is crucial that both Sasuke and Juugo have.
