IMO, certain Episodes elaborate further on what took place in the Manga because the Manga is limited. Since we have the luxury of seeing it literally frame by frame instead of every other second/minute based frames I personally, as well as a few others would consider it to be cannon. Why? Because it's actually directly legitimate to the story line simply because it's in reference to the skills or information that already exists and that is in fact true.

Now if we're talking about actual fillers that have no direct reference to the Manga/Story line at all... then I can agree.

Very good points, I must now rank Kakashi fairly high if I were to make a top ten Close combat list. =D

i was talking about simple plain taijutsu not overall close range , in that case madara isnt at all the best one at it

Thanks for the report hun. The manga already expected anime to expand it.. So it's not exactly filler. If fights were as short as the manga panels we'd have the worst anime.

At overall close combat? your right he isn't

but he is when it comes to simple base taijutsu and to everyone dont get me started saying that Gai is better at taijutsu, ill admit with gates yes but without the gates, no he isnt.
