I don't think so, this is not a new anime. It is reruns of old Naruto SD episodes

Not sure, the article doesn't seem to mention that. It's mostly likely separate. This anime already ended back in march but they're bringing it back and continuing it as a new series.

Yeah, I just checked, it's true. Seems to be a huge misunderstanding then since ANN is never wrong....

It's mainly TV Tokyo's fault. When they originally posted the news about it, they didn't specify it was a rerun (and they changed the title, so that made it seem like a new anime). So nobody could figure out it was a rerun until they said so on twitter.

Anyways I sent them an email about it, and the article was updated pretty quickly
