What would you rank Asuma and Hidan?

I would rank Asuma as a high jounin because he definitely isn't an average jounin. If you look at his data book stats, his Taijutsu enhanced with his chakra blades is tied with Kisame's and Hidan's skill in the Akatsuki (4.5/5) which is the highest score.

Asuma's strength (4/5) is tied for the second highest of the whole Akatsuki, right behind Kisame. His speed (4.5/5) is tied for the second highest of the Akatsuki, right behind Itachi. His intelligence (4.5/5) is tied for the second highest score among the Akatsuki.

His Genjutdu and Hand Seals (both 3.5/5) are average among the Akatsuki.

The only thing he lacks is his chakra (3.5/5) which isn't bad at all.

His Ninjutsu (4.5/5) however seems to be just average. But, with all his other feats he is skilled enough to be a high jounin. He wasn't a Guardian Ninja for nothing.

The Akatsuki are nearly all mid Kage+ ninja. If his states compare he has to be high jounin.


Hidan is low S rank in my eyes. His stats compare to the other members (lacking in intelligence) but it was mentioned multiple times every member in Akatsuki is S rank. Hidan only needs a drop of blood to defeat his opponent and can take almost anything.

Yeah He lose because it was basically a 2v1 fight while the young Naru could not plan it out. Kinda sad how he lost he killed hidan like 2 times if i was him i would been like F it throw a smoke and dip. lol

Asuma would almost certainly have won if he'd had full knowledge. Hidan's strength rests severely on his opponent not understanding his powers until it's too late.

What is S rank to you? A unique ninja who beats most ninja. If you compare hidan to the other Akatsuki yeah he can't beat then. The other Akatsuki are mid Kage to high Kage level ninja. Hidan is definitely a low Kage ninja.

He has a bland skill set and other S-rank shinobi honestly have more on him. More diverse, harder to kill, etc. Hidan's easy to beat once you realize he's immortal. And, his only jutsu can be stopped by shoving him out of a circle or destroying the circle.

Asuma most likely could have defeated Hidan should he have known how the ability worked. That and with Kakuzu there on the side, it never would have ended well for him.

I actually think Zabuza, Kitsuchi, and Darui are all low Kage ninja. Asuma can't beat any of those guys so I'd put him high jounin. If u think Asuma is high jounin, since the ninja I listed are stronger, they make it as low s rank ninja.

I'm going to make a tier list soon. As I told u s rank is overrated bc people think of it as guys like Madara, and he's off the charts of S rank. Prime S rank examples are the Akatsuki, mid Kage-high Kage ninja. Zabuza's data book stats compare to them, only lacking in Ninjutsu however being superior in CQC and defense to Genjutsu. If his feats can compare to mid Kage level ninja he is definitely low Kage. A Legendary Swordsman, Anbu, leader of the Assassination unit, and feared among the whole universe as the Demon of the Hidden Mist, is definitely low Kage haha. But that's untopic
