The Sharingan can be countered. Itachi was a true heir of the Blood Line Limit and that's why he was able to use his Sharingan without having to make direct eye contact, he was beyond normal expectations. So no people aren't jealous of eyes that will eventually make you go blind. No one cares if Naruto was in Akatsuki or not. Sasuke a bad ass ... thinking no one's stronger than him and then getting his ass handed to him before he can even think of using any of his abilities because he's being over whelmed and can't do shit if his all mighty sharingan can't read it or see it.

He watched as kids with families enjoyed each other, while he merely sat back and endured the eyes of hate. When Sasuke atleast had a mom, dad, and brother for a good portion of his life.

Alright so his brother died to protect what he loved the most, his younger brother, and his village. And what does Sasuke do in return? He wants to not only kill the people that set his brother up, but destroy one of the things his brother loved, Konoha. Like wtf? Your brother died to protect what he cared for and now instead of just getting revenge on the elders, you want to destroy what he gave his life and happiness for, because you think all of Konoha was up in the scheme to kill the Uchiha.
you ppl do understand sasuke is the good guy right. because he is. and revenge is going to help not only him but every other big clan. lets says the hyuugas get too powerfull and try to take over the leaf. then danzo will sent the strongest hyuuga to kill the clan and it will all repeat. but it wont happen if sasuke kills the elders.

Summed up, he's cocky because he has his sharingan but when it can't read what's comming his way, he panics and nearly gets killed ...twice. You can't think of it as a matter of "what if". The nine tailed fox chakra mixes with Naruto's chakra, making it hard for him to learn jutsu and be a quick learner like his father was, yet he has been able to always overcome that through hard work and perserverance. He is a true genius. Sasuke has sharingan so he is able to learn jutsus faster than any other type of character in the show. He's a genius partially due to his bloodline.
