Those kind of arguments can't be used. Because if naruto didn't have kurama and sasuke didn't have sharingan the entire plot would change to accomodate the powers they have. Both characters have their negetives.

Why do people insult others for likeing a character? Threads like this get / quickly. But the op is a jack ass. Do you think Naruto would of beat Pain without the nine tails? Naruto only tanks because of plot. So does Sasuke.

How is it Sasuke's fault his clan choose to rebel? You're arguing that's a way that Naruto is superior to Sasuke but Sasuke was seven. He had no control over that. He didn't know about it. Itachi said he regretted not telling Sasuke, since he believed Sasuke could have been the one to restore the clan. You're not superior because of your parents or clan. You're superior because of your decisions. His decisions make Naruto the more heroic character, not who his dad was.

In my opinion, Naruto always defending the village is the most poorly written aspect of his manga. Sure, he came to have some friends, but the majority hated him. However, he still defended them. He never confronted them for being prejudiced hypocrites who hated him and made him an outcast but expected him to defend the village. Then the liars worship Naruto, saying they always knew he was hero. Naruto never called them out on this.

Sasuke wasn't born with the Sharingan. He had to awaken it. He was only born with the capability to waken it. Also, both being a jin and having the shargingan have disadvantages. You could become like Gaara was or like Sasuke was. Sasuke is slowly overcoming his hatred. He saves his comrades now, unlike in the Five Kage Summit. He even apologized to Karin, showing he regrets at least some of his actions.

Sasuke would still be a powerful ninja without the sharingan. He was at the top of his class without it in the academy. He mastered the great fireball technique, something that is supposed to be beyond genin, when he was seven. Sasuke is very skilled. It's not all about his sharingan.

Sasuke is not evil. He is a morally gray character and always has been. This is what makes Sasuke more interesting to me. I don't know if Sasuke will do good, but Naruto will always do good and solve all of the world's problems. I find straight heroes to be boring. They are more morally decent beings, and we should strive to be like them. However, in fiction they bore me.

Sasuke is the more complex and interesting character. This makes me think his character is better than Naruto's for me. That being said Naruto is the more heroic character of the two. For me, "better" and "more heroic" are two different things entirely.

note: I just respectively disagree with you. The only things I took exception to were your point about the Uchiha Coup and Sasuke being evil. If you like Naruto more than Sasuke for being more heroic, then that's valid. We simply judge a character by different measuring sticks.

You maybe right in Naruto being better than Sasuke but I don't agree with what u think makes Naruto better. What ever the Uchiha did is not in anyway Sasuke's fault if anything he is the #1 victim, one Cld even debate that though Uchiha was planning a coup the way Konoha dealt with that problem was wrong. Sasuke is not my fav but if it were m who was in his position I wld completely annihilate Konoha after leaning of all the facts, how they were so coward as to send my own brother to kill his parents and clansmen and didn't have the guts to iy themselves.

A person can only b blamed for what they have done not what their ancestor and parents did and though it usually does a man can't b praised to b great coz of the deeds his pops did, Naruto is awesome coz no matter what and how they viewed him he believed in himself and endured all thru that pain till everyone recognized him as Naruto not the Kyubi's vessel.

Sasuke did make mistakes of his own and all but his greatest mistake was thinking the world was black and white, in thinking his sole goal was to kill itachi and later going the dark path. Hiatus greatest flaw is indecisiveness and that's were Naruto in my opinion is lightyears ahead and all his( Naruto) other feats of awesomeness r thanks to this.

Based on my very humble opinion,
Naruto has always been better than Sasuke from the very beginning.

Naruto is the Fourth Hokage Minato Namikaze's son,he's a descendant of the fearsome and very powerful Uzumaki clan,
his mother is the Kyubi's second Jinchuriki, Kushina, who has a very unique chakra even among their clan.
He has dream to become Hokage and he loves Konoha so much.

Sasuke hailed from the Uchiha clan, the clan which attempted to betray the village,
the same clan of Madara and Obito who both caused all the troubles to the shinobi world.
His parents were both ordinary.
His goal is to kill his brother no matter what.

Naruto is shunned by the village yet still chose to protect it,

Sasuke was adored by the whole village yet resolved to destroy it.

Naruto is a Jinchuriki, but controling the Tailed-Beast's powers bears major risks and requires lots of training,

Sasuke was naturally born with a sharingan, and thanks to his special eyes 'coz without it, he's just an ordinary ninja.

Naruto is good

Sasuke is evil..

I agree with everything but two things...

a) Sasuke can do genjutsus, Naruto can't.

b) Sasuke is still more booksmart than Naruto.

Otherwise, yes, Naruto has better added features.

I wonder if Sasuke know genjutsus that are not based on his doujutsu... And yes, based on manga facts, the Sage's Elder Son's Bloodline has its features in their Eyes, so without them, they're not that good. That's the reason Uchiha Izuna died.
