Gotta agree with this. There's a reason why we didn't see Sasuke do that before he got EMS and that reason is probably that he can't. Even if he could it would cause him tremendous pain and probably make him go blind in a matter of seconds.
From where you got this? Also the knowledge isn't helping Guy. He is not fast enough to dodge it.
7 gates Guy is definitely fast enough to dodge Amaterasu. Base Guy alone is 5/5 speed in databook and at least as fast as unweighted Rock Lee who can move so fast that he's invisible to the unaided eye.
With 7 gates he's speed is increased to the point where he's definitely as fast as version 1 A. Combine that with the fact that he has intel and he has a really, really good chance of dodging Amaterasu. Not sure if he'll win the match, but he definitely has the speed to dodge Amaterasu and therefore a pretty fair chance.
