Errr no not really. It's been foreshadowed for like 300 chapters :s

Infact, before naruto used it it wouldn't be a stretch to assume he could do it. Naruto doesn't have an Unlimited Pool of kyuubi chakra in him at anyone time, he still has a set amount that his body can properly hold. Therefore, he knows how much senjutsu to gather to balance out those chakras.

No it was foreshadowed, and really it was obvious, all it involves is using two modes at the same time.

No, it was forshadowed. The only plot hole is why Kurama didn't have him do this in the first place.

Pa Toad said it was difficult to be Toad Sage for Naruto because of Kurama's chakra before he fought Pein.
Then in the recent chapter Kurama confirmed he didn't want to back then. He didn't wanna seem like he needed help.

Lol why would you call a combination of BM and SM an asspull? If Sasuke still had cursed mark who says that he wouddn't be able to activate it along with his susanoo? Besides, it has been forshadowed since Pain's fight, only but BS this power-up is.
