Even though I'm not a Sasuke fan, I will admit, Sasuke got trolled hard. As an author, Kishi shouldn't abandon major characters like this.
From all the build up in the earlier parts of part 2, I really thought that Sasuke would be given a major role. But he got reduced to a mere background character. All that build up for nothing.
So you only like sasuke for him being powerful?Back then in DBA, Picollo was my favorite character. But as the plot progressed, his powers and roles got diminished to the point that had to become a fodder mentor for Goten and Trunks.
This was a mistake made by Toriyama, cuz a lot of people liked Piccollo, as he was a great anti-hero character even back in Dragonball. I really do hope the same won't happen to Sasuke.
If Kishi doesn't learn his lesson, this manga would be sub-par.[/I][/B]

dat sasuke fanboys logic. Lol
So then what's wrong if sasuke stop becoming as powerful as naruto, or when Konohamaru gets older and become more powerful than sasuke?
Powerful you say? Then Juubito is powerful, and so is SO6P, do I like them?
I like Saucy, because of the complexity of his character, and his story-line. He is very relate-able and intriguing to me, and also to many readers who follow this manga.
yeah.. but let's be serious ... how strong can Konohamaru become ? ... what can he do to naruto ? nothing...So then what's wrong if sasuke stop becoming as powerful as naruto, or when Konohamaru gets older and become more powerful than sasuke?
I think hink its time that Kishimoto retires sasuke as a rival since its getting old and move on with naruto to focus only on his journey. New rivals like Konohamaru is more interesting at this point.
Well he learned rasengan and multi shadow clones the same age as naruto so he's progressing at the same pace.yeah.. but let's be serious ... how strong can Konohamaru become ? ... what can he do to naruto ? nothing...
It would be much more interesting if Kishi drops this predictable "hero" who saves the damsel in distress stories, and let anti-heroes shine... I mean its REALLY getting old right? So then what's wrong if sasuke stop becoming as powerful as naruto, or when Konohamaru gets older and become more powerful than sasuke?

Thats because in deathnote the protagonist is not really a hero, but more like a villain. In the end, the side of good won, just like DBZ and many other mangas. Do you expect that a manga that is being released in shonen jump, where the manga aims to inspire teenagers to be good, just take a u-turn and just completely screw all it's hopeful audience? It would be much more interesting if Kishi drops this predictable "hero" who saves the damsel in distress stories, and let anti-heroes shine... I couldn't care less if Naruto sacrifices himself (or dies in a ditch for all I care) to save the world or whatnot... because we have enough stories like that... Its time to be creative and add some spice to it by adding a good twist to this story.
Mangas like Death Note where the main character dies, is actually more interesting to me than the pathetic DBZ types where there is another Goku to save the day...

thats not realistic and bad business model which will give a bad impression to a company like shonen jump.
in the end Kishimoto can screw everyone including sasuke, just not naruto since he has to become hokage like the original premises of the manga.
Isnt shallow showdown a cartoon that they air at Cartoon Network?
There are many other animes/cartoons where the "main" character doesn't end up as the strongest.
One example is Xiaolin Showdown where Raimundo beats Omi to become the Shoku warrior, so please do your research first.
Sasuke is also not a bad character, more like a "neutral" one, so the argument of good beats evil doesn't apply here.
i second this ^^^^^^^^But the thing the manga is about naruto and not sasuke, is about naruto friendship and other things.
Sasuke will get a power up but at the end of the day NARUTO -> Sasuke, there is no Naruto = Sasuke.

im talking about shonen jump the magazine it self, based on tradition the hero always wins or at least have a happy ending.
Sasuke has been hinted to still be on the evil side, it was hinted by Kishimoto via Sakura giving the fake smile.
his brother was on the side of good, sasuke isn't, besides inuyahsha had a happy ending.
There are more animes where the "goody" hero aren't the strongest, check out Inuyasha for example, he gets his ass beat by his brother Sesshoumaru all the time, which means he is not even the strongest, end of story kiddo.
aren't you a Sasuke hater anyways, so why am I even bothering with you?
Why do people generalize a fanbase based off one person? Come on man there's many people who like Sasuke and can debate better than you and the majority of this forum.his brother was on the side of good, sasuke isn't, besides inuyahsha had a happy ending.
So bad comparison, besides inuyahsha was the one who defeated the final villain, and there was no need for a final fight with his brother to determine who was the stronger at the end of the series since both are on the good side.
i have a feeling that sasuke fans become irate when they get their ass handed to them and can't debate properly. Lol
