Too happy :-(

Is anyone else upset by how happy these last few chapters were. Especially this chapter. Its all, "Yay, Naruto is with Minato and talking about Kushina and saving the world and getting more power". This is the war arc. It should be darker, or at least less childishly happy. Even if Naruto does get more power, it shouldn't be in such with such a happy tone.

yeah i concur. it's like Naruto and gang are having fun. Their in a fight with the big boss man and they are filled with nostolga, whitty banter, and jokes! Where the seriousiness.

The OP is correct. This is war. when you are taking down the head of one side of the fighting things should be tense, serious, dire even. Not this wieird get together of top powers for a good laugh we've been seeing.:vincent:

That's sort of True. I started Naruto in 2005. Even so, there are other arcs in Naruto that are darker than this

I truly think that they have dropped the ball with this arc. Especially in the anime.

there are only sasuke/itachi related arks which are darker.

but you see even sasuke never killed anyone (even with all that hatred )

danzou blew himself before he could be killed.
same goes for deidara.
orochimaru didn't die.

zetsu was a paracite/inhuman

what could be the reason ask ueself ..... kishi never wanted sasuke's hands dirty.

even those fodders from kage summit were saved.

it's clearly a shonen manga, older fans expect too much.

You make it sound like there has to be death for it to be dark, which isn't true. For a recent example look at the Kage's fight with Madara. They took that shit serious and it ended up being a bit on the dark side even though no one died... Maybe.

HxH is pretty light too (Greed island arc, and other things). It just happens to be much more graphic than Naruto or Bleach.(slaughter of the Mafia. Little kids getting eaten etc.) Its weird has those two things go together, but that's how it is.

True enough, but on the flip side of that coin....

....most of us where kids when this manga started we grew up right along side Naruto. If your Manga/Anime runs for that long some adult themes(darker themes) should become more prevalent. Not saying Kishi shouldn't adhere to the younger audience as well. But there is a time and place for the joking around and light hearted moments. A war with the big bad is not the place for that...at least not so much of it anyways.

Exactly, though to play devil's advocate to your comment. The Kages(save Gaara) all adults so I guess the light hearted stuff would kind of be misplaced among the personality types of leaders.
