Military interference. I cannot say if United States is right or wrong to intervene, but a limited strike would bring us war or peace in Syria. Either-way, it is a choice we have to face with in the future. Chemical Gas War in Syria could not be ignored. We can spectate or do something about it. I do not want to be that guy who did not do anything about it. Our military is not just for hype or to instill fear, but to protect. Not protect ourselves, but others who cannot fend for themselves.

Other countries who do not understand that and invoke the idea that the United States is using the opportunity to expand, does not deserve the respect. Now you kids can argue about how the United States can stand in the crowd with the rest of you cowards, but at least we are doing something and trying to achieve a better outcome for the people of Syria.

The United States of America has one of the biggest fleets of ships in the world. Power and weapon wise we far outmatch other countries. Let's look at this shall we

United States:
Annual Defense Budget: $515,000,000,000
Military Personnel: 1,385,000
Population reaching military age annually: 4,266,128
Fighter Jets: 22,700
Navy Ships: 1,600
Purchasing power: $13,780,000,000,000

Now let's look at Russia:
Annual Defense Budget: $43,000,000,000
Military Personnel: 1,245,000
Population reaching military age annually: 1,602,673
Fighter Jets: 6,500
Navy Ships: 525
Purchasing power: $2,097,000,000,000

Another Popular one is China:
Annual Defense Budget: $59,000,000,000
Military Personnel: 2,255,000
Population reaching military age annually: 20,470,412
Fighter Jets: 2,400
Navy Ships: 760
Purchasing power:$7,099,000,000,000

It won't matter the United States alone is the greatest Military power in the world. The only chance would be if Russia and China joined together against the United States. I say change because alone we still outmatch them in Jets. Odds are Japan will side with us as well as Russia (They aren't stupid). But that's really up in the air atm. The president has taken it to congress, but not like that matters. He can override the congress decision If he wants too. I plan on leaving this place anyway lol.

Well, you realise that Japan has no military (apart for their'self-defense and peacekeeping forces') and Russia would never side with the US in war against China?

The amount spent on military means nothing. It's basically a big di*k comparing contest. 'A man with a small penis can better pleasure a woman, if he knows how things should be done'.

I'm pretty sure someone out there hates your countries Ideals as well. People only hate and misjudge what they don't understand.

Russia may not want to side with the United States, hell they may hate it but they aren't stupid enough to turn against us either. China has a lot on the United States considering our debt and things like that. BUT My post wasn't about Military spending. We have more Ships, Aircrafts than most countries. Foot power means nothing against an air strike. The point was The United States is better equipped to deal with a World War than other countries.

Also you do know Japan has built there first actual warship? I think their numbers alone would help us. But who's to say. In all honestly It's just a bunch of children with big egos fighting for no damn reason. But that's how leaders work.

No the post I responded to, responded to a post about America believing the "With great power comes great responsibility" quote that Stan Lee made up.

Those numbers are pretty. @_@

But don't forget tactics and such. Lol
Plus... numbers don't always determine the outcome. o_O

Oh I know exactly what I hate and what I hate is this self righteous selfish bigoted ideal that has killed over a million american soldiers in a vain attempt to show some sort of supremacy over the world. So dont tell me that because I hate this ideal its because I dont understand.

Did I call you out by name? No I did not. It was a general statement, and both are true. People always hate what they don't understand. Judging by the response you gave me I can say you don't understand the situation fully at all. I'm gonna assume you're talking about Iraq. (Forgive me If I'm wrong, Or about this new situation) But just because the president decided to do that bullshit. You can't blame all America and say that's our Ideals. So allow me to correct you.

You hate the Presidents Ideals. You can hate our Congress ideals. A lot of americans are pissed over the wars going on just to let you know. But we can't do anything about that can we? Sure we can Impeach the president, but at the moment? Nothing Saying It the way you did just shows me you don't understand anything about normal Americans Ideals.

I'm almost positive I can say I probably know as much about your country as you do mine. I'm also refereeing to your post earlier about "american ideals"

The Government of Syria had chemical gases and such release on the people of Syria. Be realistic. Someone had to step in. It happen to be the United States. >_>

We do not want this to escalate into any ideas that other countries can get away with it - Monkey see, Monkey do.

You obviously have never had a family member go out to fight in a futile war.

Oh I know exactly whats been going on in Syria to every single event up to the chemical incident. Syria is a recent democratic nation that elected a Muslim leader in a democratic fashion. Once he was in power however his party (muslims) tried to close that same door they came in with and make the nation obey their commands. Right now that leader has been imprisoned and Assad has taken over. Now the muslims that are angry over this action have started revolting and tebelling against the democratic nation. These muslims have gone to the extreme by burning buildings, staging massive protest, and most disgustingly burning down christian schools. It is because this faction that wants its power back that the Syria govt is fighting back with an iron fist. We cannot intervene in any way because this is a rebellion in a democratic nation that must be brought down by its own government or else how is the government ever gonna receive respect from its citizens

Sweetheart I heat to break It to you. I'm a member if the United States Military. U.S. Navy to be exact. This is why we don't make generalized statements without getting to know a person first okay? My Aunts Husband died in the war as well. My best friend died. But please sweetheart do tell me more about myself since you seem to know for a fact that I don't know what the bold statement is. Have you?

Thank you for telling everyone on this thread thing we already know... My post wasn't about what you know about the war it's self and such, this was about the post you made about you hating American Ideals. I guess you didn't understand very well.

Interesting times, will US engage another war without UN approval. Because Russia or China will probably use their veto right to stop this. And how will they react as US overtrows another political ally of them.

LMAO at people believing that this is about helping helpless people in Syria. US and Europe don't give a shit about people lives, civil war happens everywhere but they only react when it's happening in oil rich countries like Libya and Syria *_*

Syria case is very complex, there is a centuries old struggle going on between sunni and shia muslims. This problem can't be solved by guns if the international community really wants to help than they should organize dialog meeting for the 2 parties.

For the person who said some stuff about US being military might of the world, well thats true however nothing last forever. There was a time that US was economically the strongest and look where it is today.

Making a generalization is different from making a statement to a general audience dumbass.
