its confirmed that the sage can used these jutsu and he was using rinnegan

Well for starters the rinnegan is different from the sharingan.
In order to change the sharingan into a different property, you need the body.

Each doujustu takes a different toll on the user:

The sharingan takes a toll on your eyes and leads to blindness

While the rinnegan takes a toll on your life force/stamina


Since inzangi is a technique by blood and not just doujustu, it's safe to say all of the above depending on which bloodline they are born from uchihas or senju

I meant he didnt have Izanami, the sharingan technique. Sheesh, I never said he didnt have CREATION OF ALL THINGS which is what Izanami is birth from. Rinnegan came long before Sharingan, so it is impossible that a rinnegan user could posses a MS technique.

izanami and izanagi are a pair, so why wouldn't the sage have it?

the eye loses its light after it uses one of the 2 techniques if another eye is attached to the socket, then that eye would still work. In the case that Has his Izanagi will be more effective due to Hashi DNA but he will still lose his sight. He might be able to still use the rinnegan but he wont be able to see from the eye that loses its light.
