Anybody that makes a top 20 anime list knows naruto has to be on their. Naruto in the anime world has made its mark. Well Ign thinks otherwise

But the question is naruto a top 20?

Well first of all, IGN is a video game site. Why take their word about an anime/manga to heart? Secondly, I haven't paid much attention to IGN since lately their opinions are biased or paid. And finally, your on Narutobase. If the majority DOESNT agree that Naruto is at the very least top 5, then I give up on logic.

That's a lot harder to answer than I thought, I was all set to click yes then I realized there's a *** load of anime and a *** load more I haven't seen yet but it's up there. I'mma say statistically yes it is, subjectively idk.

What does that even mean? Anyway I say at least naruto shippuden and one piece are easily in the top 20

I haven't read the IGN list, but I don't think Naruto is a top 20 anime. Its definitely a top 20 shonen manga, but the anime adaption is shoddy. The animation is stiff and theres too many fillers and flashbacks. Once every blue moon there's an episode worth watching, but aside form that I don't even bother with the anime.

IGN is terrible, for both game reviews and top 20 lists. The fact they put Fairy Tail at #4 shows they don't have much taste for what defines a good anime series in general (seriously, why is Code Geass so low?).

For me, I'd place Naruto somewhere in the Top 20. Not Top 10, but close nonetheless.
