As a heroine for this story this no reason for her to be sitting on the sidelines, every damn time.
I don't like her personality either but it adds on to my dislike for her when she doesn't do anything heroine like.

Konan: Could've been a strong lady or taught the girls. But died
Mei: She good but I want her to beat someone and not get "beaten" by Zetsu like really.
Tsunade: She good but could've been a stronger Senju. Or at least not get old she only 50 imagine how she would look when she's 80
Ino: Good but I want her to win a fight by HERSELF and WIN
Hinata: She good but Kishi always makes her fight the strong people and makes her get soloed BADLY

Exactly this. She's not fodder but she's not relevant to the story at all. Only Naruto and Sasuke are allowed to do take down important villains. The rest get defeated, until the mains save the day.
