I say that SM Jiraya can hold his own against Itachi. At least until Tsunade is done with Kisame
If Tsunade is capable of winning against Kisame without using her seal, Itachi wouldn't be able to take on SM Jiraya and Tsunade at the same time. He is best suited for 1 on 1, but is at a huge disadvantage against 2 people due to his low stamina.
So it all comes down to whether Tsuande can beat Kisame fast and without her Seal. If she takes too long, Jiraya is going to get beat and if she uses her seal. If she does use it, once she is done, she will be useless due to chakra exausthion. So Itachi wins.
I know that Kisames weakness is Taijutsu and all it comes down to whether Tsuande can find a way to use that against him.

Team 2 no difficulty. Jiraiya overwhelms Kisame and Itachi himself, Tsunade is just overkill. Samehada trying to suck up nature energy will kill Kisame in the end.

Neither have a counter for frog song. If either is hit by Tsunade they die. The only thing team Itachi has is totsuka blade and ameterasu.

Plus Jiraiya can counter ameterasu with either Ma and Pa, or his own Katon. He can even counter with a combination of the two! Tsunade activates Byakugou if hit and Ma, Pa, or Jiraiya himself can seal it away.

Jeez dude, you're going full retard over and over again. I never said his katon would defeat ameterasu, I merely said it was a counter. It would hold ameterasu back, and force ameterasu off of its original target. It's not like in this fight, Itachi is miraculously healthy. He's still ill. Jiraiya avoiding ameterasu for 3 seconds is easily enough to get ma and pa to counter the katon, thus your entire argument is invalid.

Edit: didn't see the bottom bit. They don't have a counter to water dome is not a good choice of words. Jiraiya can turn into a frog at will, as seen when he infiltrated the hidden rain village. Even so, all he has to do is summon Gamabunta and get him to swallow Tsunade to save her. If Kisame did water dome, Itachi is at full risk, so tactically it's not a good plan for a 2 v 2.
