The Sage may turn out to be a Gary-Stu figure with no flaws? I don't know, it's just the way he's been portrayed so far as a monk and the saviour of the whole Shinobi world previously. I hope he at least admits that he made a mistake when dealing with the relationship between the Younger son and Elder son.

Well Hashirama was made out to be a unsurpassable god-like figure, but then he ended up actually acting like Naruto. Not that I thought it was a bad thing, just that Kishi is very unpredictable with his eventual character designs, despite whats foreshadowed.

it's funny you mention that I was actually thinking along those lines for how naruto would beat sasuke if he went bad again. but I just think it's silly because I doubt Kishi will take this the avatar route

The sage is one of these character types as all Naruto characters are.
