You do have a point but I'm not too upset about it. I think when Kishi does the kind of things you mention, it is to take up some space. But it's only so he can bring out a better chp the next week. One that progresses the manga to make up for the fill ins he does.

The lack of point.

It's pretty obvious kishi doesn't pack every chapter with as much content as humanly possible. However there is a pacing, and he puts as much content in each chapter as he wants. If you don't like his pacing that's your opinion, but what's the point of pointing it out?

well kishi wanted to focus on naruto and minato in this chapter and he wanted to explain how their plan worked kinda like the izanami chapter.

it's all about the monies look i don't know any real numbers but i would be willing to bet that sales in the past like 20 manga's have been redonkulous compared to the last ones.... and i mean theres also a million people like me who the only source is the internet dont get me wrong if i could go pick this up somewhere in my smallass hick town of population 15k i would.... but there isn't one...... and i have even ordered the stuff from amazon the volumes... i just wish like all hell there was a way i could buy these somewhere in my town here in kentucky because i would be waiting at the door wed morning.

The flashback to kushina's story was necessary. The next panel of that flashback from ch 504 was when Minato called Kushina a motor-mouth mother.

In 644, Naruto responds to his dad's need to talk with his current self more by saying he is "just as bad as mom", as in a motor-mouth.

If not for the flashback, I would have no idea why Naruto told Minato that he is "just as bad as mom"
