Honestly, I think he was just ready to die because with that moveset, I don't understand how he'd lose to 20 shinobi.

Minato, hashirama, or hiruzen would be able to take them out with the other 6 people they had even if kin and gin were there... It's just puzzling how tobirama and his team couldn't do it that they had to run, with all these OP jutsu tobirama has.

Shadow clone - Single handedly made naruto OP
ET - Single handedly made orochimaru/kabuto OP
Tobirama must have the chakra pool of sakura and can't do more than 1 of these jutsu in a fight. That's the only thing that makes sense.
