Why is it that Lee or Guy can't use ninjutsu?

Seriously all I remember Kishi saying is that he just couldn't which is an ass pull if you ask me. Is there a specific reason?

The reason Lee can't was kept simple, he has absolutely no skill in it, by this I imagine they mean he was poor chakra control.

I doubt it's the 2nd one. Chakra is a users life force no chakra= death.

gai can use ninjutsu(he has summoning jutsu) just he is a taijutsu style fighter. He simply trains taijutsu.


Lee "cant" use ninjutsu. This is because he simply has no talent in ninjutsu at all.

Have you ever been around a person, who just has no talent in something at all? Like a guy who tries to play soccer, who has zero foot coordination? Or tennis with someone who just cant hit the ball?

Well thats lee with ninjutsu. He technically can use ninjutsu(as in he doesnt have any bodily restrictions to stop him from useing it, just he has no talent in it at all.)

A Shinobi who cant walk on walls and water... highly unlikely. But I also dont remember Lee doing any of that. Anyway I dont think using chakra to walk on walls and water could be classified as ninjutsu.

Its yin spirtual and yang physical energy that combines to make ninjutsu.
I think he cant use much yin spiritual or has lack of it and that inhibits him. Seals give form to the spirtual and then yang breathes the energy into it. Its not really plot hole.
