One thing I have learned on the base is.. When it comes to Itachi.. all haters feel he gave 110% all true believers know he gives 30% at best..... Vs Sasuke that fight was won when Itachi pulled out Susanoo. Everyone knows this but people dont want to accept that Itachi wanted to die. Haters I tell you.. Haters lol

Not only that, but naruto's dodge from ay was just a side step, he didn't blitz anywhere and ay still made it all the way into the back cliff >12ft away. The initial blitz he did (which ay kept up with) crushed the ground. KCM Naruto is actually slower than V2 Ay in a blitz match even though he was able to essentially side step his lightning straight.

tl;dr; naruto isn't that fast.

One had no control over his body and was controlled by kabuto, the other wanted a conversation.

However personally i see nothing to do with foot speed here.
Naruto only uses it in short bursts. He hasn't mastered it enough to start dominating his opponents with speed like, ai, minato, gai, lee.

Secondly there is a difference between foot speed and hand speed.
Who said naruto had extreme hand speed to overcome a cqc confrontation with itachi, somebody who actually has better base taijutsu than naruto, unless he is in sm then gets frog katas.

Finally there is a difference in speed.
Hand speed, belongs to neji and gai
Foot speed, belongs to naruto and EI
Teleporting belongs to minato nad obito
Water speed belongs to hanzo and kisame
Air speed belongs to deidara and Onoki.

Naruto's foot speed in those two scenario's is irrelevant because once in the air his foot speed isn't relevant unless he can walk on air which cannot. Onoki and deidara and possible mu and gaara are all faster than not only him, but also all the known shinobi's who take advantage of their speed.

Answer is none. Once in the air, naruto's so great foot speed isn't so great and that is why in the air he isn't or should i say cannot take advantage of his foot speed

Naruto being fast does not make him fast in striking speed though.

He is not accustomed nor associated with high speed striking movements...We haven't seen him doing such thing against anything other than dodging-striking opponents who have straightforward attacks (raikegs for ex.)

So yeah Itachi kept up with him; but they both use speed differently.
Naruto has short bursts of direct foot speed movements; he is not a taijutsu user or anyone else who are using speed as a factor in battle. While Itachi knows more about taijutsu; so he can have striking speed aswell.

It is like this way: We have the boxer and the athlete.
Athlete is faster; but the boxer has more knowledge and speed on striking and movements to attack/defend.
And anyone with a brain knows that athlete can't strike faster just because he has a better movement speed than the boxer; infact he would be pummeled into the ground despite superior movement speed.

So; Naruto is not like the guys Gai, Lee, Bee, Neji, Hiashi, etc. who excel at striking speed. Even his direct movements are not succesful and well associated like A's or 3rd raikage's. It is no surprise that Itachi; who has more knowledge on taijutsu; therefore striking speed had been able to keep up with him.

And if you already aknowledged he wasn't going all out, then you can't try and say he was fatigued from the battle. He was tired from the stress of making shadow clones and still managing them even being as far away as him as they were and for that long.
