Why do people do this

In vs. threads people always insinuate their preferred character gets to use every tech he has against the much stronger opponent and every variable goes in his favor for example akatusuki member vs. top 10 character threads realistically the top 10 character would use a move that instantly kills the character ex. amaterasu before they can try anything but the thread maker argues that their character still has something like c0 or third kazakage puppet or others that they can use to kill the person that would kill them with one jutsu

I was using it as an example of a 1shot jutsu that people blatantly ignore as something that instantly kills their favorite character

But aside from nagato, itachi, and obito all members of akatsuki would get killed by it kisame might tank it for a few seconds but he would eventually die from it

Yes but you cant tell who would escape the jutsu or not, maybe if the character had a counter to create an opening then it would be a sure fire kill. But you cant just say "ama 1 shots" because they are all together, one counter means they all counter. Nagato is a sensor, he can tell them if the jutsu is gonna be cast.

Unless there is a sure way to kill a certain character right at the beginning of the battle then expect their most powerful jutsus to be used.

No he would annihilate sasori in hiruko mode and no traces would be left as it would be with other characters with one shot jutsus but not to that extent

Oh I misunderstood the post, I thought you were talking about all at once (in response to the akatsuki vs hashirama thread).

Well otherwise yes I agree, in a 1v1 situation if the character has a move that can beat the other in one shot then that character will almost always die. However there's always that chance of escape, that's why its good to have more than just 1 jutsu to finish the match.
