I'm actually only looking forward to seeing Giriko in action. We didn't see any of his special abilities/much of him fighting regardless of how powerful he may be.

Nah it wasn't a filler. People didn't understand the point of the Xcution Arc because the Fullbringers died. But when Kubo brought them back in Soul Society it all made sense. They're gonna fight the Vandenreich alongside Soul Society

Honestly, I think Tsukishima, Kugo and Giriko were Kubo's favourite fullbringers and that's why he decided that only they would die so they could return in the final arc.
