That could be or like I said before, it could end like how a lot of other stories end. With the girl who at first does not return feelings for the main character, but gradually sees him in a new light and eventually falls for him. Or it could end like how the previous Sannin ended up becoming, with Naruto becoming another Jiraiya single for life, but being a perv, Sasuke being the next Orochimauru because he didn't become Hokage and Sakura being another Tsunade and falling in love with someone else entirely.
Bottom line, we will never know who Naruto is going to end up with at the end of the series until Kishi himself reveals it. I guarantee that Naruto is going to have to make a major decision at the end of the manga when it comes to the one he loves. I.E. love triangle! I honestly think that Kishi is making the series head into that direction. I mean if Sai managed to expose Sakura's true feelings for Sasuke to which from what we can tell, she doesn't exactly love him anymore otherwise she would'nt have had a fake smile and she would have been more enthusiastic about Sasuke's return, then she obviously is starting to see Naruto in a new light and is gradually starting to fall for him. (Keep in mind that even Minato thought that Sakura was the mirror image of Kushina because of her looks and personality.). Then there is Hinata who has loved Naruto ever since he stuck up for her and against the bullies who thought of her as a freak to which Naruto was beaten to a pulp by them as a result. Let's not forget that Kishi basically has knocked Sasuke out of the picture as he and Karin have a thing going for each other.
Obviously Kishi is going to make it to where Sakura and Hinata are both head over heals for Naruto and he will have no choice, but to make a decision on who he actually loves. My honest opinion? If it comes to that? Then he is probably going to just walk away from the both of them because he won't want to break either of their hearts. I will bet money on that.
On a side note, I am pretty self aware that I have terrible typing and formatting skills and I usually make walls of texts. Sorry about that. Also, if you guys were to take a look at my other threads, you will see that none of them truly focus on romance.
I was simply pointing out the fact that Kishi is definitely toying with all of us when it comes to the romance in the series and will have us keep on guessing until the very bitter end of the manga when he finally reveals who ends up with who that's all!
