It was a shinobi fight. an external help proves nothing on which one is the stronger.
Summons would be acceptable if it was a "war" fight", and not a fight to determine which is the better shinobi. BUT that wasn't the case, but either way, Naruto was the stronger one at the end. He couldn't kill his "bestfriend".. but instead destroyed the ego his bestfriend had of being ahead of Naruto.

What makes you think Orochimaru was watching? He was sitting in his lair with Kabuto after switching bodies with some random. And what makes you think zetsu would have interfered? He was most likely just collecting data on Naruto and the kyubi

There was really no reason for that, naruto wanted to fight him himself i doubt a third person would have been preferable. Gamabunta would probably just blow off cause he's not wasting his time with two fighting children.

Orochi was watching, he can see inside the curse mark like minato did with the seal for naruto.
Minato put his chakra into the seal...the curse mark is the same way.
