Nope it is actually offpaneled ,We have only seen Itachi activating Sharingan and haven't seen how Oro's Snake disappear or Itachi turning arround ...Any sharingan based Gen needs Eye contact ,Finger Gen dnt require Eye contact ....!

This!! Though it is noted he can cast genjutsu by looking at his body parts, in naruto's case his finger. but this was obviously a sharingan genjutsu, which does require eye to eye contact somehow

Anime follows manga but anime always adds in extra scenes.

This is one of those instances.

The anime is not canonically correct if it hasnt been shown in the manga.

Both anime and Manga shows that Orochimaru being under Itachi's Gen while they are facing so u r argument is invalid only finger Gen don'' require Eye-Eye contact and it can be avoided if u close u r Eye's......!

Itachi can't cast any kind of Genjutsu,if u close u r eye's ...proved in manga more than One time.........
