I always wondered why the tear in Rin's picture was symbolic to the tear in Obito's Sharingan! It's just a panel that I wondered about.


I think I finally found the answer. Its rather simple really:



The Sharingan signifies Rin herself!


Why?


Think about it........


How does an Uchiha awaken his Mangekyou Sharingan? How did Obito awaken Kamui?


He witnessed Rin's death, he suffered the loss of someone extremely close to his heart!



Rin's death awakened Kamui!

That is why Obito's Sharingan signifies her.

i dont think he was physically being torn apart. I think that was his mind, being torn apart by the juubi.(like how kakashi was stabbed hundreds of times by itachi in tsukyomi)


When he pieced himself back together, it was him pieceing his mind back together, against the influence of the juubi.
