Konoha's Real Hero not Naruto

Then sakura must be a bigger hero for saving the future of Konoha Sasuke and Naruto...

OT: Every single ninja who died against pain can be considered a hero.. but in the end they were doing their job. Naruto is the hero because of him, Pain was stopped ....

The minute Hinata doesn't act, Naruto doesn't free himself in rage, doesn't breach the 8 tail limit, NO MINATO.


Instead Pain Shinra's Naruto to the face, and drags his bloodied body to some unnatural cave formation where he gets Leech Seeded by the Gedo Mouth Dragon.



OT: I'd say Naruto, Hinata, and Kakashi played the largest roles.


Naruto: actually fighting and besting Pain

Kakashi: discovering the interval

Hinata: indirectly yet ultimately directly being responsible for saving Naruto

While some mention Naruto's transformation would cause more innocent deaths... A few points.

1. It's this or nothing. At this point not doing so ends far more lives...the world's to be exact.

2. Nagato got TNJ'd...so it's only fleeting

3. Maybe had anyone else gotten the Soul Eater Theme Word (COURAGE) to go to his aid and not sit around...cause people other than Hinata KNEW he was down....then maybe I'd be more inclined to listen.

Sadly, Hinata was just a distraction, 9-tails would've been triggered no matter what.

2. Nagato would've been either killed or saved by Konan.. so it was for the best he got TNJed

I'd say Tsunade played the biggest role next to Naruto... If she hadn't saved everyone Naruto would most likely have went 9-tails mode right away. And even if he somehow managed to TNJ Nagato knowing that he murdered his entire village, down to little kids, most of the people that would be revived would die again because their bodies would be stuck under everything.

1. At that point he was going to KO Naruto so he would never have transformed. He only lost his cool because Hinata seemingly died...probably helped that she was the first person he could remember saying, "I love you".

2. I'm not following you here. If Naruto transforms regardless, Minato then still appears to stop it meaning we once again have Naruto beat Pain, and then they have their chat where he is Talked to.

Well I wasn't specifying an order, but yes I forgot to add her. But I'd disagree on the transformation. He was calm and collected...even knowing he couldn't sense Kakashi. Considering how much just Jiraiya and Kakashi alone mean, he seemingly keeps cool unless someone dies right before him.

From what I remember, Shikamaru and I think Sakura were the only ones of Naruto's friends I recall being saved by Katsuyu. I know Kiba wasn't...Shino wasn't shown. Choji wasn't shown. I don't think Hinata was as she had Ko.

But then again when arguing theoretical scenarios it is impossible to say one way or another.

You know... I keep wondering what that whole deal was about.

From Kishimoto's point of view... why 'make Hinata on the verge of death' again? ... Kabuto was already a very bizarre and enigmatic character. It wasn't necessary... unless it was meant to hint at an underlying interest held by Orochimaru/Kabuto.

Then there's Itachi's decision to not kill Kabuto - he's still out there fighting illusions in his head. This, combined with the revival of Orochimaru ...

I can't help but feel Orochimaru is a 'deep plant' of Root, and he's been acting in some sense of the Leaf's best interest this entire time. And the fact that Kabuto healed Hinata will come back as being a part of this (along with a lot of other events).

I keep pondering over it - but I don't have the information and/or insight to resolve it at this point in time. Perhaps it's in manga pages that I do not recall at this point in time, perhaps it is a cultural reference that I do not grasp as a foreigner... or perhaps there have been no clues published to tie it all together.

Well it was a brave effort on her part for sure. Are you saying that Naruto's not actually the hero or that Hinata's the savior if Naruto's not counted?
