Kimimaro's backstory canon?

Do you guys consider Kimimaro's backstory to be canon? Although the flashbacks were anime only, they fit in perfectly from what was said about Kimimaro in the manga. Is "canon" material ONLY from the manga or can some things from the anime be considered as canon as well?

Yes they are.

Naruto is owned by the anime group and the kishimoto. There is nothing in the manga that goes against kimimaro's story. So it remains canon.

People are here believe Kishimoto is the only creator of Naruto.

Though you must also know, the whole "canon" vs "non-canon" is a fanboy excuse..... no mangakaka has stated that anime is not part of their story.. because they do not have the right to say it.. cause they aren't the only ones who own that specific manga.

Canon is a term that refers to events that happened in a story.If someone died in the story then that death is canon.

The point is, that NARUTO is property of Masashi Kishimoto. He just gave them permission to adapt it into an anime, also note that it's always said that everything outside of the manga is based off NARUTO, by Masashi Kishimoto.

Sure, anime is canon to itself, but when Kishi decides to do something that would completely contradict something that happened in fillers, then it's GG fillers.

well it has to be they got to be talking to kishi on filler why else would they have tobi there to capture three tails way before we found out the truth about rin in the manga and second of all every thing that that happens in the anime is its own canon thats why the manga is still called naruto and the anime naruto shippuden, kishi is the creator but they bought the rights to the series :scorps:
