Man, the Rin flashbacks only prove that Kishi loves his obsessions, it isn't the first time Kishimoto has had a character overly obsessed with another, Ino thought about Sasuke first when her dad died, and don't get me started on Naruto especially in the Five Kage Summit. Kishi has always loved his flashbacks. I'm not going to bother going into detail about why you're wrong because I've done it too many times already, and you won't even take into account what I've posted, but if you refuse to see the underlying messages surrounding Obito and this arc then that's your own problem, it's a shame what Kishi is trying to portray isn't appreciated.
