They said it was a business of making people happy..... That person made a homeless man happy and gets yelled at. Contradictions. Contradictions everywhere.

College isn't a necessity, it's a luxury. Let's follow this little road here. Water seems simple enough. Did you know that more than 50% of the US's clean water comes from the Great Lakes? Now, how do you propose the government would transport so much water? Building pipes? Trucks? Planes? How are those maintained and created? How do you pay for the means to create a completely self-sustainable governmental economy in which they can provide these services at no cost?

Then why does america promote higher education all the time but tuition fees are getting higher and higher each year. In Italy if you're under the age of 30 college is free. And honestly there are some places or opportunities you can't get without a college education.

Higher education gives you a better chance to make a good living, but most colleges are privately owned businesses, although some are governmentally owned. Either way it helps in the end.

It helps, but it's not necessary. The same as eating a steak rather than a bologna sandwich.

It all comes down to this money system. Where everything requires a piece a paper to function.

There's still amazing people in this world. I'm very proud of this person, I would give him/her a hug if I could.

Thanks so much, oShux for sharing this - I'm put in a better mood now! Thanks so much!

I don't see why she was upset if in the end they still got the money for the meal , no harm , that's just an example of the people that are in this world & the few good ones #Respect for the worker .

Helping someone makes you at peace so you help them and when you see that you are the one who make a change in someone else life .............its a real accomplishment , you can get jobs again and your boss will forget bout the incident but not the ppl who watched you helping the poor person so that makes you a hero in our eyes and the person also :yay:

I do live in New York. Don't assume shit without thinking first

Umm I was just talking in general bro , and before you assume shyt make sure that you put if the story is about you or not. Because I live in NYC and it has never been over 105 degrees this entire year but the post you put up says 116 degrees so yeah , that's why I said that.

Yall definitely new yorkers. So quick to get into each others throats. Don't worry, I have plenty of family from the bronx, queens, brooklyn, and yonkers, so I know.

Gonna play devils advocate here and will probably be flamed but, I've seen beggars on the streets and I used to give my change to them, but when I have none to give, they get all disappointed and berate me. So I stopped. They've grown accustomed to me giving hand outs and became sore when their "expected cash deposit" didn't come in.

Now in this situation, although it was a nice thing for the worker to do, but what happens next? That homeless guy can come in again and maybe expect the same thing. Or maybe that homeless guy has done this before and since the food is already made the establishment just gave him the food in exchange for not ever coming back to that restaurant again.
Yes it is a business that they are running and a this situation could be the catalyst for return "freebies." Then property values go down. Less customers, leads to less revenue. This is a completely hypothetical outcome, but it's not far off the mark.

What am I trying to say is that there is good and bad in all socio-economic classes and it's hard to differentiate in this class between who is down on their luck and trying to get back on their feet by earning a living or trying to scam. The bad ones prey on human kindness. Which makes it harder for the good ones to catch a break. Maybe in this situation the homeless guy was one of the good ones and genuinely did lose his money. But if he wasn't, then that person who paid for the food was reinforcing the attitude in getting something for nothing.

This is probably an unpopular viewpoint and one that will cause me to get some negative feedback from members, but these are just some of my thoughts.

That's sad? You should live in NYC , maybe you'll get to see sad more often.

You said "You should live in NYC" thats speaking directly to me not speaking in genral. Just admit you're wrong. And also this post isn't by me.
