Well alos proves that fellas next year is the last :T_T:But that is besides the point I want to make,So 2014, we've survived the "apocalypse" and we can carry on reading without anymore thoughts on it
I see "2014" and I think that it is quite a long time away, considering the "climax" in the series, I was wondering how much more of Naruto there will be before the end of the series
The declaration by Tobi was made 170 chapters or so ago and the fighting started about 110 or so chapters ago.
When you think about it that's about 2/6 of the whole series so far just on this war
Here is the Interview with Kishimoto-sensei!
When was the first time that you thought of becoming a mangaka and why?
At some point between second and fourth grade I got into Akira Toriyama Sensei's Dr. Slump anime and Dragon Ball manga. I loved his characters. I was especially attached to Dr. Slump’s Arale and Dragon Ball’s Gout. Also, his art really appealed to me. There was something about his cartoony drawing style that felt right, more so than realistic drawings. I thought to myself, I wanted to become like Toriyama Sensei.
Where do you get your inspiration? Do you listen to music or watch movies when you are working?
I do have a DVD player with a little screen on my desk, and sometimes I watch movies or listen to music. I used to do that more often when working, but not so much these days. After drawing manga for 12 years, I’ve learned that it affects my art. For example, if I was listening to a song with lyrics, my manga would start to reflect the sadness. And then when I would look back at the drawings, something about it felt off from what I intended. So I decided to shut off anything that could affect my drawing.
But I do love movies and do get a lot of inspiration from them. In my free time, I go to the movie theater to try and catch every blockbuster film. I also look for DVDs of hard-to-find movies in stores. I like watching big trilogies like Star Wars, horror movies like SAW, romance movies like 500 Days of Summer, and classics like The Sting.
My all-time favorite movie is Akira, but I love Hollywood movies in general. My recent favorite was How to Train Your Dragon because the scriptwriting was so fantastic. As a fan of the original comics, I liked Tin Tin. I thought the movie was true to the comic, and CG animation made it seem more real than if it was live-action.
Once the Naruto Shippuden series is over. Will Masashi Kishimoto continue on with Naruto or utterly end it?
I have a question for the anime fans. What happens when an anime like Naruto or Sailor moon, especially dragon ball z becomes huge and famous. When an anime becomes a hit, anime and manga companies immediately try to bring it back. Look at dragon ball z. It became so big that they had to bring it back one way or another. Even after the cell saga and majin buu saga. They had to bring it back because people wanted it really bad. They crave more of it. That is why dragon ball z series has about 800 episodes ( perhaps I exaggerated with that number).
If Kishimoto decides that this will be the end of Naruto then those who own the rights to the anime will continue it. If he decides to continue on with the manga then he will make a new series, Maybe a storyline of years a head. When Naruto is finally Hokage with Hinata and his daughter. That would be an interesting plot.
Speaking of such plots there is a saying that Sasuke Uchiha will become stronger than Madara Uchiha. This is a possible plot once Naruto becomes Hokage. Sasuke still wants revenge on the leaf village.
So my question is, do you think naruto will finish before 2014?
If not,
-what is left in the series to tell that will take longer than from now til then
-how many more arcs do you think there might be
-your opinion on another time skip
