In theory Sasuke and Naruto have surpassed Hashirama and Madara

The reason why I say this is cause through natural progression Naruto and Sasuke have become extremely powerful.

The only reason why Hashirama and Madara got so strong is cause they were at war there entire lives so as they fought one another they became stronger and stronger.

In a sense you could say If Naruto and Sasuke(Seeing as they are so strong through sheer progression and training) fought there entire lives in war and improved through that aspect. They would be A LOT stronger than Hashirama and Madara.

We have to remember the theme of the series is the newer generation surpasses the older generation and going off of what has been displayed. Through natural progression and talent the newer generations have truly outshines the people before them.

To Sum it up for those who don't understand:

Naruto and Sasuke at 16 are stronger than Hashirama and Madara when they were 16....

I mean, Madara and Hashirama were well into their 20's when they founded the village and 30's when they fought at the final valley. Naruto and Sasuke are close to their levels at half their ages, I don't think they should be surpassing them any time soon, but they are indeed strong.

the point of the thread is stating that if Naruto and Sasuke fought as much as hashirama and madara did then Naruto and Sasuke would be stronger than them... Not Sasuke and Naruto are stronger... If you look at Ages Naruto and Sasuke at 16 are stronger than Hashi and Madara when they were 16

I see what you mean. If they were all brought up in the same era, then Naruto and Sasuke would be superior.
You could also look at it if they were all 16. At 16, current Naruto and Sasuke are likely to be better than Madara and Hashi were at 16.

The only issue here is the fact that Hashirama still had mokuton at this age and Madara only really surpassed him when he got the EMS, Rinnegan and Mokuton.

No. Kekkei Genkai is not easy to master. Especially if you're the only user.
+ SM had to be trained. KCM had to be trained. Naruto developed his jutsu's.
CM was gift. Sharingan was a gift basically. MS was a gift. EMS was a total gift.

Madara awakened himself his MS and Sharingan. No gifts. ''Only'' user of PS. They developed their jutsu's since they were basically ''creators''. Naruto developed some and Sasuke developed less. They copied mainly. And Sasuke received help. Naruto didn't in training.
