Did Itachi unlock his Sharingan by the age of 5 or was it approximately after he graduated from academy? In all honestly i don't think 5 year old Itachi would beat a weak 16 year old Hyuuga despite Itachi being christened as one in million.

What was 5 years old Itachi's feats?
He awakened sharingan at 8 as far as i recall.

Even though Hinata get pawned by a 5 year old before; she probablt got over that level.
Kid Itachi probably can offer really basic elemental jutsu; things like kawarimi or bunshin and some shruken-kunai techs (at the best possibility for him); Hinata can most likely handle those.
