I still want to be able to smoke outside though no problems, honestly even cops don't care you can't even get arrested for weed they just confiscate it from you depending on the amount you have. And probably go smoke it themselves. And weed doesn't make you do any bad decisions at all. When people are high they're fully aware of everything that's going on, and know exactly what they're doing I can't tell you how many times in the past when I got high outside and came back and no one in my house noticed cause I knew how to control myself. it's illegal because it takes you down a notch, and makes you mellow. most tokers are to lazy to accomplish plan's for the day because they are at that mellow state of mind. thats just one example. another is "economy". if pot was legal say in canada/america. the "War on drugs" will come to a hault because people wouldn't need the cartals to supply them, they would just go to the closest coffee shop or convience store to buy thus the high layoff rate for correctional officers, city police and people from the medical field. specially the medical field because people would rather smoke a joint to ease the pain than rather take a bunch of prescription that have serious side effect or high precentage of overdose users.

example: Doctors tells you you have some disease and to ease the pain the Doc got 2 solutions, First is prescription drug that will ease the pain for 24hrs but the side effects are pretty serious and you shouldn't exceed for the sake of argument will say 4 pills a day . 2 is a natural grown substance called weed, will help ease the pain for 24hours with no side effects. Now tell me which one would you take?

over all its a drug thats alot cheaper then wood(in the sense of it growing faster), and pose a risk to the medical field and correctional officers/ police men we are not talking about a few hundred being laid off but a couple thousand. and those people who are getting laid off will get benefits from our tax dollars the more dollars printed the weaker its value is.

My self personally i rather avoid this headache and just make it illegal, i rather support the drug dealers then the gov/chemist adding shit to my buds that could led to cancer down the road, or the growth of price/taxes being raised at an alarming rate.....

In new york there aren't any penalties unless the cop is an @sshole usually they just confiscate it from you, sometimes when they're in a bad mood they'll fine you, other times if they just don't like your face they'll arrest you but most of the time they'll just take it away.

It has lasting effects, no joke. My friend smoked something that was laced and he wasn't the same for like a couple of months I'm talking a kid who's an athlete,smart but an under achiever so he got decent grades like a C+ to a B- the dude tried to levitate a pencil once in the classroom. :|

That's a pretty devious but smart thing to do to help their case. But it's impossible for a person to be addictive to weed, it has no addictive qualities. I can smoke and get high, and then go months without touching a blunt something a tobacco smoker, or drinker could never do. And as I said before the caffeine you get from drinking coffee is more addicting than weed.
