out of the two i say kushina, having her clan and village destroyed and then coming to i village and hosting a demon fox and then on the night she gives birth to her child which should have been one of her happiest days of her life she loses her life instead along with her husband dying and her child has to be brought up without any parents and has the demon fox in him which would lead to her ultimate pain as a mother as her son was hated by all villagers until the age of 12 for an incidant he had no control over
obitos hatred compared to kushinas is pitiful

obito all he did was lose the girl he loved the most, so obito is pretty much a psychopath and a weak minded person

OT: I find Obito's theme sadder, but Kushina probably has a sadder moment.... Y know dying just after having a son... Having to die protecting him. Also a rough childhood to some extent until Minato saved her.

Obito lost Rin, but he could have continued to live on and protect what she cherished, but decided not to. His childhood in theory was more normal until Rock Smash...which at that point becomes more of his fault as it goes on where it was out of Kushina's control.
