Honestly, today's music is horrible, in my opinion at least. Just some pop trash, there are just a couple of good bands, and a lot of posers. I'd rate it 4/10 because of the bands like 30stm, rammstein, a7x, breaking benjamin etc.

dude hiphop is well alive... there's eminem, nas, 2 chainz, jay z, kanye, snoop, lil wayne and so many... u want rock?? there's linkin park, greenday, 30 seconds to mars, one republic, etc... and the quality of digital music has risen... there's david guetta, swedish house mafia, calvin harris... and lots... it depends on the genre u r listening... there's still a lot of great music around!!!

I rate it a 3/10. Only good music in this generation is (Mainly) Rock In my opinion. Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, Etc. I also enjoy the good old Music. The Beatles, Nirvana, Queen, MJ. Those are good artist. I dont like most Rap and Pop Nowadays. It doesn't come from your heart.

It's because artists are given too much power, and as role models in our society, they abuse that power.

Just watch any music video, count how many times you can catch inappropriate shit in their videos and lyrics.

I think one of the main issues is that the methods for creating, and acquiring music now are so readily available due to technology, and the internet that everyone and their grandma think they can put out an album. It's made things over-saturated. Nonetheless, I don't see anything wrong with the quality of today's music. You just gotta know where to look to find things that you find enjoyable.

Note that the music u see on television or hear on the radio is only a minimal percentage of the actual package of music there is available but u just have not heard of it or widened your horizons enough. Its just a popularity contest, all commercialized , why would music company's search more artist all the time if the ones that suck actually make big money.

I personally don't listen to todays Music. I stick to the 70s 80s 90s ... I think I was just born in the wrong timeline, I'm only 19. There were many better Bands & Singers at that time(Like the ones that are mentioned above) , of course at that time there were shitty Music too ... but c'mon, todays shitty Music is just .. the worst of all, 1100% Autotune and Porn ... and that beats .. they all sound the same.

True, its kinda getting out of hand. Artists are given so much coverage that the media alerts us when they take a shit, no wonder they do w/e they like in videos.

Those two are my favourite bands along with Breaking Benjamin and Skillet.
30STM actually is the best band these days for me.
