Why is it that Madara came back as edo with his original eyes, the ones he gave away but Nagato came back with the eyes he got from Madara?

Is there a rule that im missing or is Kishi makin stuff up on the spot.

It's not his original. All reanimation does is create a copy of your previous body before death and seals your soul within it.

Everything thing about your body and powers with it is a copy.

Proof would be Sasuke taking Itachi's eyes, and yet itachi still having the same mangekyou as his original.

So don't worry to much about it.

Also to explain Madara's situation. Orochimaru and Kabuto's research help modify Madara's body allowing him the use of a copy rinnegan and sharingan. Not the original

madara is a special edo and nagato was brought back with rinnegan since he died with it

He didn't find rinnegan. The rinnegan is just a copy of the original Rinnegan and Sharingan due to Madara's special body. His body is modified through Orochimaru's and Kabuto's research. They didn't have to find an EMS/rinnegan eye when they could mix genes together and create one. But it's only a copy not an original.

Lol I think you're a bit confused.

That's probably the only reason they were trying so hard. They needed a body who would be compatible with both Senju and Uchiha DNA in order for it to awaken Rinnegan/Sharingan.

Since Sasuke was the weakest at the time he was the perfect subject.
