Hey bro welcome to NB.

Sorry to hear about the whole name thing. Maybe we can help you out with a name change although I can't myself atm. There is plenty to do here and many people to meet and chat with. It might seem hard at first to get used to things but if you are willing to go the extra mile and be patient then you will be successful. There might be some overly opinionated people on here who may be rude to you but pay no mind. Participate in as many threads as you can but remember that you must give full replys instead of spamming (useless chatter that does not relate to post) otherwise you will end up infracted and if worse comes to worse...banned from the site. Have fun but be sure to follow the rules and you will have a nice time here and it might even become a second home for you like it has for some of us. If you have any questions feel free to ask any of us though I would stick to asking people who have been here a while.
