Would Naruto have reacted the same way if Sakura had confessed instead of Hinata?

Recently i was re-watcing the pein battle and a thought acme to my mind: What if Sakura had jumped in and saved Naruto instead of Hinata? What if she said she loved him there? If this Hypothetical situation happened how would Naruto have reacted to it all?

Because she was only saying it to get him to stop chasing sasuke. In this hypothetical, she actually, truly confessed.

I personally think Naruto going crazy for hinata was mostly due to what she said before she died [I love you] I feel as though, had Hinata not said that, Naruto would have gone up to 4 tails at macmx rather than the nine he actually did. I feel ad though Hinata's words before her ''death'' emotionally shook naruto's mind, and at that moment, he couldn't really comprehend what he'd heard from Hinata, and then she dies right after saying those said words.

So unless Sakura said the same things as hinata, which wouldn't happen, I think Naruto would have gone up to two or 4 tails.

Hmmm..yeah, i get what youre saying. Hinata confessing would be a lot more unexpected in Naruto`s point of view and thus a bigger shock...that might have contribted to the transformation of the six tails...then again, he had feelings for Sakura, seeing her hurt would have triggered something big.

I never really saw Naruto and sakura's bond as anything special, mostly because all they do involves Sasuke in some way; their relationship is built and centered around Sasuke and its not solely about them, which makes their relation seem weak imo

Naruto still has feelings for Sakura, to what degree does feelings curently go however is unknown. Its a curious situation.

(She is one heck of a medical ninja) Plus, if she died in front of Naruto, he would of gone full 9-tail mode for letting Nagato killing 2 people he cared about. I dont think it turned into a shiping war...no Narusaku fan apeared until now. Still...full 9 tailed? I would think 7, maybe 8 tails but FULL Nine tailed?

Naruto cares about anyone who has a relationship with him. At this point of the manga, he hasn't really interacted with Hinata. He knows Sakura more even if we don't. So if she went into the battlefield and died, he would of released something big to the point of losing himself. On the other hand, if Hinata died by some slim chance, he could of been pulled out of it by Sakura like the first time. :nuts: Ugg, not saying that if Sakura died Hinata wouldn't try to pull him out of it but well she doesn't have the same strength as Sakura. Ex. If Naruto hurt her on his rampage she wouldn't have the heart to defend herself by hurting him. Anyway, even if you see their relationship based on Sasuke, you really shouldn't think of it as weak. Bonds like that drive you closer to eachother than anything else.

Well the largest thing to also remember is that no one has ever said, "I love you," to Naruto. So that in and of itself was a shocker... Coming from Hinata probably only furthered it as she was someone Naruto liked.


If Sakura had the same honest feelings....yeah basically the same thing would have happened; however, being main characters Kishi probably would have had Naruto follow up, or the scene where she hugs him would have turned into a kiss as well.
