No, really, now that I think of it, his loss against the old man 500 chapters back was a fraud and the culprit was plot

Surely the weakened Hokage would target the clones instead of toying with an old man, right? No, they leave the clones alone smh. Oh, instead of using ninjutsu against the blinded Hiruzen, which would have been very effective as he isn't a sensor and can only sniff like a monkey (manga facts), they attack him with taijutsu smh:

So now all of a sudden the old man who was injured by the shinigami and was already just about out of chakra can catch Orochimaru? Come on, Asuma's faster than the old man. Yamato's faster than him. And you got caught by him when he was injured and out of chakra?:

Not to mention the old man already admitted inferiority to you before he even knew you had the Nidaime's jutsu in your arsenal. Surely you would stomp, but then you decide to play around with him and then plot hit you with the swindle:

"The culprit" as you say, was actually Orochimaru's own overconfidence and vanity. He highly underestimated the Hokage.

It's sort of ironic, a man who does everything for the sake of knowledge and jutsu, was beaten by a powerful jutsu he had no idea existed.


Serves him right.

Oh, I know. The point of this thread was to show that had it been under normal circumstances, Orochimaru would have taken down Hiruzen without too much difficulty, but then again I didn't want to seem as if I were bashing Orochimaru (that was my original idea), so I came up with the swindle. Apparently Hiruzen's own statement when he had no knowledge of Orochimaru knowing of Edo Tensei isn't enough for the fangirls.

In all honesty though, that fight was a joke. Weakened former Hokage, taking turns, watching as Orochimaru engaged in a kenjutsu battle with the Sandaime Hokage, not dispatching Hiruzen's clones, not using ninjutsu against him when he was defenseless against it... seriously, it goes on.

Eh.. Most of my favorite charcters are dead. Itachi, Han, Hanzo, Tobirama, Zabuza..J-Man.. All of them are dead.. They died for their own reasons.. I am fine by it.

That fight was meant to humiliate Hiruzen, to show him the power of forbidden Jutsu.

Orochimaru was settling an old score. For a guy like him, there is no meaning in a victory that is quick . He wanted to show his superiority, play with his food, and savor all the physical and psychological pain that he put Hiruzen through. That's the type of guy he is. A guy that holds grudges.

The Edo Hokage's were controlled by Oro's mind, they moved when he wanted them to.


Orochimaru didn't even need them, their purpose was to shame Hiruzen further by making him fight his former Masters.


It was all a big fiasco to torture Hiruzen.


That fight was perfect in every way. Because it all backfired on Oro in the end and he ended up losing it all, proving Hiruzen right.
