How do I get one of the bars that displays a rank like chunnin, sannin, sage etc... that appears right below the profile pic. I've been unable to find it on the customization page.

Each rank is applicable only by acquiring a specific amount of posts. The first one is Genin, you need 50 posts to obtain that.
