A question about unrequited love and the friendzone..

I'm a 16 year old guy and Ive always pondered over this question: can a guy and a girl be truly best friends without feeling something for one another eventually? Furthermore, I've previously told my girl bestfriend that I liked her quite a while ago and she just wanted to stay as we were... and I was cool with that. Now, as her best friend, I feel really over protective of her for some reason and like... some of my friends call me clingy?? LOL

Anyway, the main thing is, she happened to send me a photo of her, she looked heaps cute and everything... even using the Korean term "Ullzang", she's so pretty and idk why my heart was beating really fast and i was smiling for no apparent reason lol

Bottom line is, how can you get over unrequited love efficiently?

you can do only two things
1. i dont think it would be easy for you to choose another girl,she rejected you though you were her best friend the reason might be that she is interested in someone else
2. be her friend and start having some distance if she notices you then things can work out

Your best bet is to move on. Once a girl has it in her mind to keep you as a friend, it is extremely hard, if not impossible, to change that. Also, most girls do not like being constantly hit on by those they are not attracted to. You might as well find someone else. If you keep clinging on these feelings, you will become a Kage. No one wants to be like him. Getting over unrequited love is fairly easy. Just find hobbies, activities, and other friends to keep your mind off of her until you don't think about her as much.

Yes, girl and boys can be best friends. One of my best friends was a boy.

Unfortunately when a girl sees a guy as just a friend for a really long time, it is near impossible to change that ._. I am so sorry. For now on, distract yourself and try not to think of it. Maybe in the future when she gets dumped by idiots she will learn to see the good guys out there and maybe consider you as an option. Maybe.
