Madara is good; but he owned fodders with taijutsu...Fodders are meant to get one shotted from known characters.
As far as "technicality" and "knowledge" on taijutsu, Gai is the best imo.

EMS + Uchiha base power give Madara the edge IMHO.

He could stand against Tobirama, IMO.
He is pretty under rated, he had Bijuu level chakra and killer techniques.

Well considering Madara was being attacked by over 50000 Ninja from different villages and Naruto and Kage

All gai did was beat some fodder Sound and Sand Ninja barely making 100 with the help of Kakashi and co
