Just a small pointer... You're comparing what Japan says about Sakura to this forum. A country to a forum....

Yup, i said that because this user stated this, refering to Sakura's lack of relevance (his opinion) in the series:

Why yes, yes it is just a opinion. A opinion that most Naruto fans have.

I made that comparison to defend my point that Sakura is the most hated character in this forum, and so what? who cares? She is not hated that much in Japan, since she got the sixth position in that ranking....

Yes, I understand what you were doing and Im not against you defending your favorite character. My whole point is, you're comparing this forums opinion to a whole country's opinion of Sakura. Obviously, Japan's votes are going to override a forums vote on her. And no offense, and I seriously don't want to insinuate anything, but this isn't Japan.
Also, and I'm not saying you stated this, but its not like we are going to have the same opinion as Japan or start looking at it differently if polls are brought in. Also, wouldn't forums like these reflect on what other people might think of Sakura in this country?

I agree with you, but we are not understanding each other.
1) Summing it up, he said that Sakura being a fodder is an opinion most of Naruto fans have, and i have to disagree with that. "Naruto fans" is just too general, gathers up so many people all over the world, however the opinions that we see in this forum are just a very small portion of it, he doesn't have the right to speak for all fans, or "most" of us.
That's why i used the rankings, to prove that his opinion doesn't stand everywhere...

2) Maybe forums are a good way to see how people preferences, but i think polls are a better way...

3) My favorite character is Neji, i only defend Sakura because she is my favorite Kunoichi and she is very bashed here. If you read my first post you will see i only used facts from both the anime and manga to prove my points. I did no fanboyism, or made hypothetical theories....

That poll was given in the third databook, wrote by Kishi, and that is relevant to me.
You can acknowledge whatever you want, but facts are facts, overall Sakura comes out in sixth place.

You are really basic...

Naruto is a Shounen, i don't mean to be sexist, but this kind of manga is meant to be read by men, that's why female characters are NEVER on the top of this polls. How many of you (mens) like when female characters have some panel time, or a fight, or some kind of relevance in the chapter??
Just a few of us... but we are not the target nor the majority, for this reason they are not the main priority of the author of the story.

PD: I did't mean girls can't read it, or like it, just that the author tends to make the story-line in order to attract his main fan-readers, men...

Actually there are ton of guys, who love a badass female character and won't mind them getting panel time, if they can hold their own in a fight. Sakura lacked the qualites really bad, not to mention she always cried and depended on Naruto do things.
When characters like Sakura, are to be in these type of mangas, tend to be bashed a lot.
So, I'm just saying. Most guys won't mind a female character having relevance and getting panel time, if they can hold their own in a fight,and is just bad ass. Unfournately, we rarely get those female characters.
